Family Participation
Families are an integral part of our program. Whether observing or volunteering in class, attending Parent-Teacher Association meetings or chaperoning on field trips, you are encouraged to become involved with the Early Childhood Program.
Parent Communication
Parents are encouraged to observe their child's participation. If you have a hobby, skill, song or family tradition you would like to share, we invite you to do so. Please schedule classroom visits in advance with your child's teacher. All parents visiting the buildings need to sign in at the office before proceeding to the classroom. All volunteers must fill out a Criminal Offense Record Investigation (CORI) form prior to working with students. CORI forms are available through the Carol Huebner Early Childhood Office. CORI forms are not available online.
Each teacher provides a weekly newsletter, blog or digital communication that contains information about curriculum, class events, upcoming field trips, class songs and class/school activities. Daily or weekly communication notebooks or logs are also used for some children, particularly those with special needs.

Parent Teacher Association
Pre-COVID, the Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) was an important way for the preschool community to remain connected, however, it lapsed during the pandemic. During the 2022-23 school year the PTO was restarted and is now The Carol Huebner PTA (Parent Teacher Association). To contact the PTA to join , volunteer or brainstorm activities and ideas for the coming school year or next, please send an email to [email protected]
Please visit the PTA website for more information: ptachecp.org
You can also request to join them on Facebook at Carol Huebner Preschool PTA.
